LIFE STRESS QUIZ

Based on the Life Stress Inventory, also known as the Holmes and Rahe test, this quiz calculates your risk of developing a stress-related illness due to the stress experiences you have had in the past 2 years. Stress-related illnesses can affect your body (heart disease, blood pressure, stroke, significant changes in weight, decrased imunity, psychosomatic illnesses), your mental and emotional health (anxiety, cognitive impairment, anger), and your lifestyle (poor sleep, inadequate nutirition, imbalanced lifestyle, burnout).

Check each event that applies to you within the last 2 years. Your score will be calculated when you select the Calculate Results button. Your total score can give some indication of the life pressure you are currently facing. Depending on your coping skills or lack thereof, your total can predict the likelihood that you will fall victim to a stress-related illness. There are no right or wrong answers. The purpose of this quiz is simply to identify which of these events you have experienced lately. You may want to consider extending the timeline (e.g., 5 years, 10 years) if you believe it might be more relevant to your current situation.
